Summary

  • There are no accounts, comments, forms or advertising on this site.
  • The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data to deliver and protect it.
  • Google Analytics runs only if you click "Accept". If you don't, no analytics code is loaded.
  • If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to send.

Hosting and security (Cloudflare)

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical information about each request: your IP address, the page address requested (including any search term in it), browser and device information, and the time of the request. This is needed to run the site, and our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating it securely.

If Cloudflare's bot or security features are active, Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies (for example __cf_bm). See Cloudflare's privacy policy for how it handles this data.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4, only with consent)

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand which guides are read and how visitors find them. That helps us decide what to update and what to write next.

  • Nothing loads without consent. On your first visit you'll see a notice with "Accept" and "Reject". Until you accept, no Google Analytics script is requested and no analytics cookies are set.
  • What is collected if you accept: the pages you view, how you reached the site (for example a search engine or a link), approximate location derived from your IP address, and browser and device type. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses.
  • Cookies set: _ga and _ga_<ID>, used to tell visits apart. Google documents these as lasting up to two years.
  • No advertising use. Advertising storage, ad personalisation and ad user data are always set to "denied", and we do not enable Google's advertising features.
  • Retention: analytics event data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics property, which we set to the shortest available option (two months).
  • Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. If you reject after previously accepting, we delete the _ga cookies this site can access.

Google may process this data outside your country. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Information stored on your device

  • Consent choice: your Accept or Reject choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key rd-consent, so we don't ask again on every page. It is never sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
  • Search: site search runs in your browser using a pre-built index downloaded from this site. Your search term is part of the page address (for example /search/?q=naptime), so it may appear in hosting logs, and in analytics if you have accepted, like any other address.
  • Fonts: fonts are served from this site, not from a third-party font service.

If you email us

Our contact address is a Google Gmail account. If you write to us, we receive your email address and anything you include in the message. We use it only to read and reply to you and to fix any errors you report. We delete correspondence when it's no longer needed for that purpose, and we never add you to a mailing list.

Our guides link to sources such as The Deadlock Wiki, official Deadlock pages and analytics sites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy doesn't cover them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal data about you, to object to its use, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, email remdeadlock.contact@gmail.com. Because we don't run accounts, the analytics data is held by Google under a random identifier. Rejecting cookies and clearing your browser data is the most direct way to stop and remove it.

Children

This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we add or remove a service that handles personal data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above before the change goes live.
